I really love making things by hand and turning my ideas into reality.

I finally got motivated recently and made a new song! This time, I went for a fantasy-like atmosphere.

It’s been four months since my last release, but I actually finished this one in about three days.

I’ve come up with melodies for about 20 more songs, but for various reasons—including technical issues and a lack of motivation—I haven’t started working on them yet…

As for this song, I thought adjusting the MIDI velocity would be a hassle, so I forgot to do it.

Right now, I’m regretting it a bit, thinking, “Maybe I should have tweaked it more,” but since I’m planning to release an album featuring this song on BOOTH, I’ll be remixing it later.

As usual, my compositional style involves too much dynamic range, so mixing this track was very challenging. In particular, whenever I turned up the piano volume, an electric-current-like noise would come through.

I couldn’t fix it even by turning off plugins like compressors and limiters.

I started out using Noire, but in the end, I switched to The Grandeur, which had the least amount of noise.

After the release, I did a little research and found that increasing the sound card’s buffer size from 512 samples to 2048 samples seemed to reduce the noise.

It’s possible my hardware isn’t powerful enough.

However, I can’t pinpoint the exact cause, and since I’m a beginner, there’s still a lot I don’t understand.
