I tried Yoshinoya’s thick-cut braised pork belly set meal!
It’s normally 1,207 yen including tax, but I upgraded to tonjiru (pork miso soup), so mine came to 1,361 yen.
I was expecting something soft and chewy like Bazirou, with the flavor of a Chinese-style braised dish, but it was actually a bit different. The texture was closer to hong shao rou (red-braised pork).
The flavor was a mix of sweetness and the sharp bite of green onion.
